Welcome to my website, and welcome to my world.
In the modern age we live in, it is often hard to remember our history – or why we do the things we
do. We tend to form things just out of reach, and never know why we don’t feel complete.
Another truism is that most people cannot see how they can change anything of importance by
their actions – the issues we face seem too big, too complex, or too far out of our reach.
One of the real problems of our time is that we use language to cover up or confound others in
order to remain dominant. And an often-repeated lie becomes truth simply by repetition, and the weight
of many people who believe in that lie.
If you look at climate change, for years the world has been talking about how to deal with it, but
very little has actually been done. But if it had been called “climate acceleration”, would it have made any difference?

My suggestion is yes. If an acceleration occurs, I can do something to slow it down. The fact is that
we have accelerated climate change over the last 300 years since the industrial era. If we hadn’t, over time,
the climate would have changed on its own – but in three hundred years, and at a much slower rate.
The problem of homeless refugee children closely resembles that of climate change. We’ve had
wars on this planet for as long as we’ve recorded the story. Our bellicose actions created refugees as soon
as one tribe attacked another, killing the children’s parents. It’s not going to stop, not in our lives or the
lives of our kids.

The reality is that there are always going to be refugees, and there are always going to be children
who are homeless and without parents. But as individuals, we can change their future. We cannot stop
warfare, but we can save refugee children and give them hope.

At the very end of the trilogy, The Tears of Joy, I wrote a line based on my research on this dreadful
situation. At the time, I had no idea of the power of a statement.
When you get there, see what you think and see if you can turn things around.
Meanwhile, enjoy the trilogy – it’s my way of telling their story and creating hope for many who will
never see it for themselves. Hope that is tangible, real, and welcoming.
And also, how I explore alternate realities, where people matter more than things, time is a
consideration, and consideration is behavior. And a family is the root of all success, fueled by education,
and powered by love, the ‘bringer of all light.’

Namaste,

Peter
